Joelle (she/her/hers) partners with teens and adults to create a comforting and healing space to explore life's challenges. She utilizes empathy, authenticity, and a non-judgmental stance to create a trusting, therapeutic relationship. Joelle believes that all people deserve to feel supported, valued, and empowered. Dually trained as both a clinical social worker and an alcohol and drug counselor, Joelle is skilled at working with people experiencing co-occurring substance use disorders and mental illness. Additionally, Joelle is particularly interested in working with people experiencing anxiety, depression, relational concerns, self-esteem/self-worth challenges, trauma, and neurodivergence. She has extensive experience working with people who identify as part of the disability community.
Joelle tailors her approach to best meet individual needs, using a variety of frameworks including systems, post modernism, and humanism. Regardless of framework, Joelle uses anti-oppressive, disability justice, social justice, and trauma-informed approaches.
Joelle is practicing under the clinical supervision of Jessica Dooley, MSW.
